The USA has some top festivals that showcase just how exciting and innovative the American brewing industry has become. Everything is bigger in Texas, and this goes for beer festivals (and hopefully beer glasses) too. The Wild West Beerfest has been the number one awarded event in North America for the past three years. At the Wild West Beerfest, you can taste over 500 brews, mop up the damage with food from top local food trucks, and kick back to be entertained by multiple bands for the duration of the festival. The party doesn’t stop there, as this year the WWBF will host its first-ever after party. Last call is at 23:30, so get your drink tickets early!

Though the VIP tickets are pricey at the top end, it is all for a good cause, as 100% of net profits are donated to charity. Seven years in, the festival has already donated around $700,000 to causes well worth your support.

2019 date: April 26th - 27th.

Location: Katy Rotary Club of Texas, Katy, Texas.

Price: Ticket prices range from $30 up to $3,850 for the ultimate VIP experience.

Nearest private jet airport: From the George Bush Intercontinental Houston Airport you will reach the venue in roughly 43 minutes.

The Oregon Brewfest is close to 30 years old, having started in 1988 as a way of exposing microbreweries to the public at a time when the industry was still getting off the ground. This veteran fest has certainly taken off since then, and this year 98 Oregon brewers and eight cider brewers join forces to showcase what the Oregon brewing scene is all about. Besides the tastings, fun on the side is provided by events such as the brewer dunk-tank, homebrew demonstrations and beer-related games. There is also the Crater Lake Soda Garden, which offers complimentary craft sodas to the kids, and of course to designated drivers.

2019 date: July 24th - 27th.

Location: Tom McCall Waterfront Park, Portland, Oregon.

Price: Entry is free but a $20 tasting package must be purchased to participate.

Nearest private jet airport: Portland International Jetport Airport is only 20 minutes out from the festival venue.

Great American Beer Fest

One of the biggest and most famous beer festivals in the USA, the GABF is an event that belongs on every beer lover’s calendar. The Brewers Association judges have their hands (and glasses) full every year, as over 800 brewers showcasing over 4,000 beers compete for a shot at a gold medal in no fewer than 161 beer-style categories. In a venue about the size of eight football fields, packed end-to-end with stalls of brewers giving their best, there’s plenty of room for both small regional brewers and industry giants.

Although there is no official people’s choice award, the brewers vie for love from the crowd, who can spread the word way beyond the confines of the Colorado Convention Center. Last year’s favorites, such as Russian River Brewing and The 3 Floyds, will be going all out to repeat their success, so make sure you get in line before they’re tapped out!

2019 date: October 3rd - 5th.

Location: Colorado Convention Center, Denver, Colorado.

Price: Tickets range from $85 - $160 for the ultimate beer experience.

Nearest private jet airport: Denver International Airport is only a 45-minute drive away from the venue.
