Spotlight: Boeing 767-300 VIP

When introduced in 1982, the Boeing 767 redefined long-haul travel with its innovative twin-jet design and enduring versatility. We shine a spotlight on the exclusive 767-300 VIP, where a meticulously designed all-business class layout sets the standard in elite long-haul charters.

Designed to complement its larger sibling, the 747, the Boeing 767 has become a global icon of aviation. First certified in 1982, the 767 made waves on introduction as the company’s first wide-body twin engine jet, and continues to provide reliable cost-efficient flights today, despite more than 40 years having passed since introduction of the baseline B767-200.

The 767 is a truly versatile aircraft with a proven and lengthy track record of service for some of the world’s most recognisable carriers. The first Boeing airliner to boast a two-crew glass cockpit, the 767 was developed in tandem with the smaller narrowbody 757, and, to this day, the 757 and the 767 are the only two Boeing widebody aircraft to share a common type rating everywhere. With approximately 12 hours range and a cockpit comfortably accommodating three or four crew members on journeys for this duration, the 767 is perfect for long-haul routes, from London to Los Angeles, or Sydney to Hong Kong, it can comfortably handle intercontinental trips.

The last decade has seen an emerging niche of all-business-class aircraft entering the charter market, the days of having to compromise on long-haul charters for groups of up to 100 passengers falling behind us. This rising generation of wide-body VIP aircraft offer its passengers a common experience of lie flat business class seating, with a uniform service throughout the cabin.

We would like to spotlight a very special variant of this legendary aircraft, the Boeing 767-300 VIP.

New to the charter market, this VIP variant boasts an all business-class formation of 82 lieflat seats in a 2-1-2 configuration. Split between a forward cabin of 21 seats, and the main cabin of 61 seats, which are separated by one of two commercial size galleys (the other being at the rear), the 767-300 VIP can provide passengers with two full hot meal services and a snack service on a 12-hour flight. Featuring a built-in crew rest pod, and an 180-minute ETOPS certification, the 767-300 VIP can fly 11-12 sectors non-stop, making it the perfect choice for all-business long-haul charters.

Perfect for sports teams, executive travel for business and the film and entertainment industries, this VIP variant means flying long haul without having to compromise on comfort and enjoyment. The 767’s bulkhead creates a private forward cabin of 21 seats, offering the perfect place for a production’s top talent and their entourage, or team managers and players to bond, relax, and unwind after a long concert or game.
